27.Aug.2009 Blue Scholars – “New People”
One of the dopest joints I’ve heard in awhile. Lyrically these guys are on a whole different level, and this beat is awesome. Off their new EP, just released. Definitely get it, it’s really, really good. It’s called Oof! and dropped yesterday. On another note, these guys are one of my favorite hiphop groups on the scene right now. Great beats, awesome lyrics, catchy as hell, smart guys, and they’re actually real nice too. My little brother ran into them in Ann Arbor a year or so ago before one of their shows and he introduced himself and they put him on their list to get into the 18+ venue even though he was only 15 at the time, and met up with him after the show and signed a bunch of shit for him. Real classy move. Support these guys.
